Firecrest locations
With one or two people already looking for these rather smart birds, I thought I'd help out with a map. The stars represent where the birds have been found most frequently. This evening they proved somewhat elusive but we finally managed to get 2 birds at the northern star site. Good luck to any visitors.

Since the birds are still being reported, I assume that thery are still being seen at the same locations? anyway, tried today (30/Dec) and found some *crest at the northern site (in and out ofthe holly bushes). The only bird that I got a good at appeared to be a Goldcrest as there was no white supercillium. I'm no expert when it comes to calls, but they also seemed good for Goldcrest. I will try again in the New Year.
